NMF5 MUSIC VIDEO PICKS Open Call for Music Videos

Music Video Picks return for the second year to the Norman Music Festival.  Sponsored by the Cinematic Artists of Norman, judges will choose the winning music video to be screened at the festival.  The People’s Pick will be judged and screened during the festival as well.

The deadline for submissions is April 13. Music videos must be submitted by the director of the video.

Once all music videos are received and reviewed, a jury panel will vote on the best music video. All videos will be screened, but the Pro’s Pick (jury prize), the People’s Pick (audience favorite), and Okie Pick (Oklahoma favorite) will screen on the Main Stage during NMF5, seen by hundreds of music fans before the headliner band, Portugal the Man, on Saturday night.

This year all submitted music videos will be judged by Vahid Farzaneh of Freestyle Productions, Cacky Poarch, former deadCENTER executive director, and Mike Hosty, local singer and songwriter.

“The Cinematic Artists of Norman are stoked to be bringing back the Music Video Picks to NMF 5. Oklahoma is bursting with creativity and the music video is the sandbox where musicians and filmmakers can get together and pair their sensibilities into something visceral and super rad!” says Adam Beatty, Cinematic Artists of Norman Chair.

The Pro’s Pick, People’s Pick, and Okie Pick winners will receive a sponsored prize with their award.
Only two submissions per applicant will be considered. Bands do NOT need to be from Oklahoma to qualify. Music Video Picks is free to submit.

Entries must adhere to the following guidelines:

All music videos must be original. Due to copyright issues only original videos qualify.

All genres will be considered. Only two submissions per director is allowed.

The Norman Music Festival is a family-oriented event that is free and open to the public. Videos containing nudity, violence, and/or profanity will not be accepted.

Directors must ensure the video/audio is of high quality. Low quality video/audio may prohibit NMF from playing a video during the festival.
